Hypnopompic (Ephesians 5:13-20)

Good morning ladies,

The word of the day is “hypnopompic.”  The Apostle Paul knew that the Lord could pretty much come at any time.  For this reason there was a sort of urgency on his part, and the part of others who spoke the word of Christ. They knew there was little time to spare before the Messiah made his return to Earth to gather up his people.

“Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
~Eph 5:14

My question is: are you living your life in a way that is right for the Messiah to come back? I think this is important because it does not just affect us, but everybody else with whom we come in contact. Others look at your life and see the way you act, knowing that you call Jesus the Messiah. If you don't give them a reason to follow Jesus, in other words have a life that is different and unique to the one that very live, then why would they want to change anything of their own life? You have the responsibility as a Christian and therefore need to take the proper care of your own life and realize that other people are looking at you. My prayer is that you live a life of Christ consistently. We as Christians need to stop living a hypnopompic, or a half awake state, of Christianity and realize that others need us to show them why it is so good to be a Christ-follower.

Praying for you,

mo
