Flummox (John 14:15-17)

Good morning ladies,

The word of the day is "flummox." Confusion always seems to mess stuff up.  In any successful operation people need to make sure that they are on the same page with one another. In the New Testament, Jesus knew that there was a lot of noise surrounding his disciples and followers. He had to communicate a vision for people to understand, and at the same time combat the wrongheadedness that was being told by the opposition.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”
~Jn. 14:15-17

It seems to me like Jesus knew what to say in all situations. He knew that the people following him needed answers, and the Savior knew exactly how to encourage and challenge people the same time. Although people who followed Jesus may have at times been flummoxed, or confused, he always made sure to tie up loose ends and make sure that people understood exactly why they were following him. My question is: do you know why you follow Jesus? My prayer is that you take a look at your relationship with the Savior and understand exactly what Jesus means in your life. This will give you a better understanding of how you can follow him and spread his word to others.

Praying for you,

Mo
