Good morning ladies,
The word of the day is “slubber.” I really enjoy the book of James because of
the frankness that he has when speaking with the believers. He knew that God's people needed good
instruction, and so he made sure that he was upfront about what it took to be
someone of influence in the church.
“Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers,
because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble
in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man,
able to keep his whole body in check.” ~Jam 3:1-2
My question is: what are the gifts and talents that you
believe you possess? James instructed the
people here to make sure that each of them looked inward at their own actions
before they wanted to be any kind of leader or person of influence. My prayer is that you ask God to pick you up
when you slubber and stumble... and look to be more like God.
Having the ability to have influence over others is a big
responsibility, and we know that the more that we know and apply when it comes
to the Bible, the more we will need to keep our own thoughts and actions in
check. Make a resolution today to get a
little bit better each day.
Praying for you,
MO
