Fribble (James 1:26-27)

Good morning all,

The word of the day is “fribble.” James knew what it meant to follow the Lord. He wanted to let his readers know that it was important that each person search him- or herself to understand what religion meant. He knew that a relationship with Jesus was more than just religion… an actual change in lifestyle and actions taken to improve one's commitment to Christ.

“If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless.”
~Jam 1:26

My question is: are your actions befitting the work of God? Think about the way that you act, speak, and carry yourself. We only get one shot many times to let people know that they need a relationship with Jesus. If we mess that up then we may lose our only chance to be a witness to that person. I know it does not seem fair, but each of us responded to take on a higher calling when we accepted the Lord. So, we do not get the luxury to fribble, or act foolishly, even for a moment.  My prayer this morning is that you draw upon the power of Jesus and become the person he would like to see you be.

Praying for you,

mo
