Good morning ladies,
The word of the day is “kvetch.” I think that the apostle
Paul was both one of the greatest ambassadors of Christ to ever live, as well
as a pretty savvy businessman. Remember that before his time as a Christian he
was a busy guy, persecuting Christians and all. Throughout his ministry and all
the way to the end he had certain standards. One of these standards was that he
never complained. In fact, he urged others to be joyful in whatever
circumstances that they faced.
“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have
learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
~Phil 4:11
My question for you is: what kind of person are you when it
comes to moving through circumstances? I think that sometimes wen life gets
tough we tend to focus on sour grapes as opposed to moving forward and
realizing that one thing that no one can ever take away from us is our
attitude. The way that you look at a situation and respond to it is completely
up to you. My prayer is that you are an example for other people as they move
through tough circumstances. I'm not saying you have to act like things are peachy
all the time and be fake in the way that you face hard times, but I do think
that we need to learn to be content. And, though people can ridicule the
apostle Paul for many flaws, I would say that kvetching, or complaining
habitually, was never one of those flaws. Let us learn from his example.
Praying for you,
Mo
