Recondite (Philippians 4:4-7)

Good morning ladies,

The word of the day is “recondite.”  I really love reading the book of Philippians.  Paul is pretty straightforward about the things that we need to focus on in our relationship with Jesus.  He even tells us that sometimes we will not understand situations and circumstances of our lives.  But he make sure that he gives counsel for you and me to worry as little as possible, knowing that God hears our prayers and answers them in his time.

“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute! Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” ~Phil 4:4-7

My question is: how much of your day do you spend celebrating life?  I know that sometimes it is difficult to understand situations that you face, and even when we look towards the Bible sometimes it can be a little bit obscure and recondite.  But the fact is, there are some things that we may not ever understand.  I've been studying the Bible for a ton of years now, and I realize that there’s some things that just continue to be questions in my mind.  That’s why I rely heavily on my meditation time with God, as well as the mentors and other people who speak into my life.  My prayer for you is that you take the difficult situations and apply God’s simple command, which is to love him and others, which ultimately leads to a better understanding of yourself as an individual, and as a member of God’s family.

Praying for you,

MO
